What I am Doing Now

August 8, 2016

(This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you should make one, too.)

I live in London, UK. I work as a senior occupational therapist in a special school 4-19 for autistic children.

In my spare time, I founded and run the the Autistic Empire, an autistic social organization that seeks to promote and spread the idea of autism as a form of peoplehood who exist as a civic minority and not as a disorder to be cured or fixed. I am working patiently towards converging my professional and personal lives so autism can be my day job and I can have my evenings back.

Having reached the peak of my clinical career (above my level its only managers all the way up), I am now working on collating my writings on serveral subjects over the last three years into book-shaped forms.

I’m also webmaster for New Stoke Newington Synagogue, a small and friendly Masorti synagogue based in North London.

I am thoroughly occupied at the moment and if you want me to do anything else, this may take a while.

If my activities or priorities change, I’ll update this page. Last update was 20th February, 2020.
