What I am Doing Now

August 8, 2016

(This is a now page, and if you have your own site, you should make one, too.)

I live in London, UK. I work as a locum mental health occupational therapist across multiple NHS services.

After a year in which I disrupted everything in my life and moved to Israel, I am looking forward to a bit of stability and remaining in London for the next few years. My two priorities for the next couple of years are:

Launching and securing the Autistic Empire, an autistic social organization that seeks to promote and spread the idea of autism as a form of peoplehood who exist as a civic minority and not as a disorder to be cured or fixed.

I am currently training as a dance leader for the Dances of Universal Peace. This is a Sufi practice that was developed in the 1970s by the first American Sufi teacher, Murshid Samuel L. Lewis, and using mantras from the world’s spiritual traditions and simple dance steps to invoke feelings of connectedness and community. I am looking to start a regular dance circle in North London as my training progresses.

I’m also starting down the road of learning to repair and service mechanical watches.

Yes, these are all very different things.

If my activities or priorities change, I’ll update this page. Last update was 10th November, 2017.
