About the blog
SarahMcCulloch.com’s blog is your place for activism, spirituality and opinion. I like all three. :) I attempt to update weekly on Mondays, though as an amateur blogger and full-time activist, this sometimes doesn’t happen. But assume that’s the trend and check back every Monday – or subscribe via email (or via RSS!) . :)
I am a student activist based in Manchester, UK, blogging on drug law reform, LGBT rights, inclusive spirituality, a bit of geekdom, and activism generally. I have a habit of writing annoyed letters to people and republishing them, and writing 700 word blog-posts based on facebook arguments. I do odd things, like polyphasic sleeping and cleaning my hair with talcum powder. Then I write it all down here: I hope you find it all useful!
“Whenever I found out anything remarkable, I have thought it my duty to put down my discovery on paper, so that all ingenious people might be informed thereof.” – Antonie van Leeuwenhoe

” This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation.
The compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog. All advertising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements.
The owner of this blog is not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owners. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.”
Basically, I make money from this blog. I will never allow my views and content to be swayed by financial gain, but everything else is game. The revenue I generate is tiny but growing, and one day I would like it to be large and growing – the more money I generate from the blog, the less I have to work, and the less I have to work, the more time I can spend on activism. So I do not feel bad about using ads. :)
